Get Involved
There are many ways to support this critical work – whether through donating, fundraising, volunteering, or joining our team. Together, we can achieve a world with zero tolerance for violence against women and children.

GIVE
Donations are essential to sustaining our services. While core staff salaries are state funded, it is the generosity of individuals, businesses, schools and community groups that enables us to provide vital supports for women and children, including counselling, play therapy, family activities and maintaining our refuge. Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference.
You can support us in many ways – from hosting a sponsored walk, raffle, fashion show or coffee morning, to becoming a regular individual monthly donor. Every contribution, big or small, helps us to provide essential services.
We can provide posters, ideas, and help promote your event. If you are interested in supporting Willow Domestic Abuse Services, please contact us on 046 9022 393.
Please note, for health and safety reasons, we do not accept second hand clothes or toys. If you wish to donate physical items, please call 046 9022 393. New toys and vouchers are always welcome.

Zero Tolerance Meath
Join Zero Tolerance Meath, a community-focused project working to increase understanding and drive action against domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence (DSGBV). This 3-year programme aims to:
- Gather input from women, children, and communities across Co. Meath to understand the challenges they face and the changes they want to see.
- Deliver practical workshops and guidance to recognise, respond and ultimately prevent DSGBV.
- Create safe spaces for honest conversations about DSGBV, meeting people where they are, and reducing stigma.
- Recognise individuals who can drive lasting social change and equip them with the tools to lead.
- Work with organisations, local authorities, and policymakers to improve practices, policies, and legislation tackling DSGBV.
- Encourage community initiatives and projects that make Co. Meath safer for women and children.

Learn more
Understanding the dynamics of domestic violence and abuse is a crucial first step in supporting women and children affected by abuse and working toward a future free from it. We all benefit from taking time to learn, reflect, and deepen our understanding. Opening conversations with friends, family, and community members helps reduce stigma and fosters a culture where abuse in any form is never tolerated. Listen to our podcast
Our podcast series, Close to Home, was created to help listeners better understand domestic and gender-based violence. Through honest conversations, we break down common myths, explore the realities survivors face, and highlight the support available to anyone affected—whether for themselves or a loved one. By listening, you’ll gain insight into the dynamics of abuse, learn from lived experiences, and understand how communities can respond to create a society where domestic, sexual and gender-based violence is never tolerated.

Volunteer
From time to time, we receive generous offers from local businesses and individuals who wish to share their skills, time, or services with the women and children we support. These contributions can make a real difference for families recovering from domestic violence and abuse, offering moments of care, connection and relief during a very difficult time.
Women and children engaging with our services have benefited from activity days, creative and wellbeing experiences, and professional therapeutic supports, made possible through the kindness of businesses across Co. Meath. Services that promote wellbeing, confidence, healing or positive family experiences are particularly valuable.
Please note that Garda vetting may be required for some volunteering opportunities.
If you would like to volunteer your time or offer a service to support Willow Domestic Abuse Services, please contact us on 046 9022 393.
